Never got the hate for him.
If anyone earnt what he did and had the option to live in beautiful Monaco and pay less tax I am sure they would. Just because he lives there doesn't mean he doesn't like England either, one look at any interview with him ever and it's clear he is proud to be British.
He's earnt it, he's class at what he does. Even the argument of oh it's not a sport.. Try heading 200+ mph into a corner then.
I'm sure he will be knighted one day. Hopefully soon.

The noise of that first lap, coupled with Lewis coming into view first and then through Eau Rouge (where i was sat in a 500 euro seat - suck my zoltaneering cock) was magical. They were still V10's then, so made a terrific noise..most around me had ear plugs in, i refused and loved the pure racket.
Love him or hate him, he is a fucking great driver of these cars.

Yea a great Sportsman winning an F1 world title 6 times is not worthy of putting up on a off topic forum ,why should this be locked who does it hurt? look at what I wrote in the title thread it is hardly controversial is it.
I think I have semi argued once with someone I get he is Marmite for some but we lost in the rugby lost against Newcastle why not fucking celebrate this?
I have no problem with people saying I don't like him but what an achievement he is obviously a great driver well done , but many are talking like he is given the title for free which is bollocks.

I find it hard to believe that this 'sport' is still going.
Firstly it has to be the most boring of all motor sports. On a lot of these new tracks they 'race' on these days it's like watching some kind of CGI Scalextric game.
The cars are dull and make as much noise as a Golf GTI. Once upon a time they fucking roared!
The drivers are mostly boring midgets who have nothing interesting to say.
But worst of all this sport must have the worst carbon footprint of all sports and is totally unjustifiable. What they should do is revert to racing on mostly European tracks so that they don't have to fly huge amounts of equipment and people around the world every couple of weeks.
But as for Hamilton he's clearly a very talented driver and what he's achieved is admirable, but yet again this tax dodging cunt draped himself in the Union Flag at the weekend when he as much to do with the UK as I have with Monte Carlo.

Vettel had by far the most superior car which had aero and engine advancements that none of the other cars had.
That's why he was so dominant as he could almost guarantee pole position and a good enough start to get his cushion and stay out in front.
But, having said, that he was good enough to do that and he also deserves credit for that.
If you are implying that Hamilton is in the same position then I would have to disagree slightly. Hamilton has had a dominant car, I agree, but that car is nowhere near as far ahead as all the others as Vettel's was during his spell of dominance. Nowhere near.
Hamilton has dominated the sport during a period when the cars have been a lot more evenly matched and so, whilst I agree with you in some part, I wouldn't agree that their dominant periods are under the same conditions.
I also agree with another poster that when it comes down the close racing Vettel has been found wanting time and time again. He was very good in the Red Bull when he had a 5 second gap and driving alone. He was able to maintain he speed and momentum and cruise to many victories.
But, as has been found, when he is involved in close racing he makes mistakes, causes accidents and loses his cool. For a driver his age and experience he is still very petulant and would rather break the rules than be overtaken.
Hamilton on the other hand is a master at close racing. He takes risks but they are calculated and he causes very few accidents. He keeps his cool and is relentless and pressures the opponent to a point where they have to relent. When close racing he keeps the go karting techniques alive which is great to watch.
So for that I feel he is a far superior driver to Vettel. But just my opinion.
